WHY THIS MATTERS:
Louisiana is a number one rainfall state and we have lots of litter and storm debris. When it rains this litter and debris flow into our storm drains and head straight into our watersheds. We need programs to manage this litter and debris on our streets and in our lakes, rivers, bayous, and wetlands. We have now joined the 41 other states and Washington D.C. that have declared stormwater to be a utility so Louisiana communities can permanently fund stormwater management programs designed for MS4 compliance and to help communities minimize litter and flooding.
